CRM - Canadian Risk Manager

The CRM designation is widely used to recognize those professionals that have successfully completed the Canadian Risk Management designation program from the Global Risk Institute. Those successful must complete risk courses offered including the Essentials of Risk Management, Risk Control and Risk Finance.

Personal Lines Specialist

The Personal Lines Specialist program is designed for those insurance brokers that focus their career in Personal Insurance and take their knowledge of these products and clients to an expert level. The course requires introductory Personal Insurance education as a pre-requisite and focuses on advanced courses and practical experience.

Chartered Director

The Directors College deals with stakeholder, not just shareholder, issues; with principles, not just rules; and with behavioural, not just technical, issues. The program consists of five modules, including a unique board simulation that provides participants with a deeper learning experience and the opportunity to apply the skills and knowledge acquired in the previous four modules. The program focuses strongly on the behavioural aspect of board governance and concludes with a rigorous written exam.

CAIB Graduates

Darwin Burgess and Danielle Sellinger were recently awarded their CAIB designation at the annual IBAS Convention in Saskatoon.  The CAIB program is a series of 4 courses.  In order to achieve this designation Darwin and Danielle successfully wrote national examinations after each course.

Darwin not only achieved the designation but graduate with honours for maintaining an 80%+ average through the program.

 

Dreger and Smith attend Extreme Networking

Tony Dreger and Rick Smith recently attended Sitkins International's Extreme Networking in New Orleans, Louisiana.  The event included 12 keynote presentations on topics including, Generational Hiring, Risk Management in a Digital Age, Differentiation through Risk Management just to name a few.  As always, we look forward to taking this information spreading it through our company and ultimately helping our clients better control their total cost of risk.
   

Smith becomes Chartered Director

Rick Smith successfully attained the designation of Chartered Director from The Director's College (thedirectorscollege.com).  Rick passed 5 modules of study.  The program focuses strongly on the behavioural aspect of board governance by including a specific behavioural session in each module.  Congratulations to Rick on attaining this designation.
 

Broker participates in Leadership Training

Scott Allen recently completed "Leadership Training: Champions Win Championships 7 Step Strategy" which was facilitated at Briercrest College.  The program facilitator, Stan Peters, takes students through the Briercrest Athletics model for building champions.  Mr. Peter's model is extremely applicable to any organization.  Scott participated in this program as an ongoing movement within Henderson Insurance to develop leaders from within.  Scott is a Personal Insurance broker.
